A Rewarding Experience Unlike Any Other

PudlesHiResCroppedAt the American Teleservices Association’s Annual Convention & Expo this month, I was honored with the “Spirit of Philanthropy” award in recognition of the work we have done with the AnswerNet Cares program and for some other charitable works I’m involved in, such as the annual CAM-X fundraiser for cancer.

This award is different from any award we have ever won because it is not a business award.  It is an award for being good people.  It is truly an award that honors not only us, but our parents, grandparents and other important people in our lives who taught us the value of caring and contributing to our communities so that others’ lives will be enhanced.

This award was also surprising to me because when I think of philanthropy, I think of people who donate so much money to things they have buildings named after them.  However, after listening to them describe the award and all of the charitable causes we have supported, I was so incredibly proud of the work we have done over the last two years.  It reminds me how much of a difference we make in our communities every day.

I am very proud of this program.  It’s so exciting being a part of so many great charities and I am constantly amazed at the variety of causes that we participate in.  What I continue to learn is that the AnswerNet family has such great compassion and caring for their communities and the world at large.

So in honor of us receiving this award, let me give a special thanks to the AnswerNet Cares Committee (Patsy Hutchins, Coria Stewart, Marlene Krueger and Carol Tomey) for driving us to new heights and for helping us all make a difference.

And of course, thank you AnswerNet Family for proving that AnswerNet Cares.
